Here are just a few photos from our recent vacation to Colorado and Wyoming. I posted the rest on Facebook.

We started our vacation by driving to Steamboat Springs, Colorado, where my family vacationed every summer when I was growing up. I have always loved the yellow “FM Lights” signs..some of them are very old! I decided this year to take photos of them all and make them into a collage.

The boys had fun skipping rocks into the Yampa river in Steamboat Springs.

We saw this deer at a campground at Steamboat Lake.

I love to photograph trees! Especially in the mountains….they are so beautiful.

Old Faithful was as predictable as ever!

We saw quite a few Elk in Yellowstone National Park.

We also saw a lot of Bison in Yellowstone.

There are a lot of dead trees in Yellowstone (fire??), but they are still fascinating to me, and beautiful in their own way.

We saw several black bears in the park.

This photo (above) is a Grizzly bear….and someone standing next to us said that there were cubs, too, but I couldn’t ever spot them.

Spotting wildlife in Yellowstone is a little like going to the zoo…..everyone stops to look and take photos, until the Park Ranger comes along and makes them leave!
