Harvest is well underway in our area, and the weather has cooperated more than in some years. Dad thinks he’ll finish cutting wheat today, in fact. I’ve been in the wheat field more this year than ever before, too…..doing several senior sessions, and of course, taking Zeb and Zane to visit Grandpa and get their annual ride in the combine. And, as you can see in the above photo, there is always food involved. Zane is eating chicken, I think.

I love seeing the smile on Zane’s face as he rides with Grandpa……both of my boys truly love being at the farm.

And then something unusual happened. Dad stopped the combine and let Zeb out in the middle of the field. He had spotted this little fawn lying there in the wheat. Zeb picked it up and moved it from the path of Dad’s combine.

No, we weren’t sure it was the best idea for Zeb to have picked it up…….he got the full lecture later on about “never picking up a wild animal of any kind”……but he had the best intentions in this case.
Next, here are some shots of funny Mr. Keagen…………..

I love his overalls……..

Nicole and I had both noticed the beautiful orange lillies at the Ebenezer church, so we made a stop there for some photos, too.
